Our annual operating budget is funded entirely by pledges and offerings from our parishioners. If you would like to support the Advent’s ministries by making a special financial contribution, we would be delighted to receive it. We can assure you that your donation will be put to good use. When making a donation, via electronic banking or by mailing a check, please use the following address:

Cathedral Church of the Advent
Attn: Financial Office
2017 6th Avenue North
Birmingham AL 35203

Gifts to the church are tax deductible, and we will be happy to provide you with a tax receipt.

Tips on Stock Gifts to the Church
Many Advent parishioners make donations in the form of common stock and mutual funds.Whenever you make such donations, please contact the Advent’s Administrator, Bryan Helm, at (205)226-3501 or This will ensure that your transfer is successfully completed and you receive proper credit for the gift. In many cases, your stock broker will not provide the necessary information to us.

2016 Stewardship

The point is this: whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. (2 Corinthians 9:6-7 ESV)

Stewardship Sunday was October 25, 2015 – when we gather our pledge cards to begin the process of planning and budgeting for our 2016 parish ministries. The budgets for all our programs and ministries for 2016 are entirely based on the pledge cards we receive this fall.

If you have questions about the printed pledge card or the online pledge form, feel free to contact any of our clergy, or the Church Administrator, Bryan Helm, or the Assistant Administrator, Dorothy White.
