Giving Life to Bonds of Faith and Fellowship
Our Heavenly Father did not breathe life into each of us to live through the brokenness of this world alone. He calls us to love and cherish each other in the Christian community. May the God of endurance and encouragement grant you to live in such harmony with one another, in accord with Christ Jesus, that together you may with one voice glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ (Romans 15:5-6). Small groups at the Advent give life to bonds of faith and fellowship. Our first glimpse into this ministry of the Advent was when we were warmly welcomed into an established small group that had been meeting for more than 15 years. We immediately felt a connection to the group. We cherish our time each week when we pray and study God’s word in fellowship with other loving Christians. We have been there for each other during difficult as well as joyous life events. Each of us is
unable to comprehend the magnitude of the love Jesus holds in his heart for us or the plans God has so thoughtfully crafted for us, but by love and trust in Christ, we can build faith to hand our burdens to Christ and be led by the upholding hand of the Father.
