Christmas Social | December 19 – Cathedral Church of the Advent

Join us Thursday, December 19, 8:30 a.m. in the Nave for our weekly worship service followed by our annual Christmas Social at 9:00. Our weekly Thursday service centers around our relationships with our downtown friends and neighbors, many of whom experience life without a fixed address. Members of Advent Birmingham lead musical worship, Advent clergy preach the gospel, and attendees who wish to receive one leave with a bagged lunch each week. Every year on the Thursday before Christmas, we gather as a community for a celebration of Christ’s birth with a hot chocolate bar, special breakfast, and chance to take photos in front of our beautiful Christmas tree.
