Director of Music Appointed to Samford Faculty

We’re excited to announce Director of Music Fred Teardo recently joined Samford University as Instructor of Organ and University Organist. Fred will teach undergraduate organ students in private lessons, instruct courses on sacred music and service playing, and will serve as principal organist.

Fred will continue his ministry work at the Advent. His unique dual leadership role will influence the next generation of music ministers as he passes down the wonderful and rich choral and organ heritage we experience at the Advent every Sunday.

As many schools continue to scale back their music programs, this staff appointment offers a chance for the Advent to play a role in ensuring the continuation of gospel-centered sacred music ministry.
