At 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, November 2, following the Choral Evensong service, Margaret Harper will open the 2023-2024 Cathedral Concert series with a solo recital on the Grieb-Williams Organ. Her program will include music by Bach and Franck. Dr. Harper is the newly appointed Director of Music at Trinity Church in Princeton, New Jersey. She has performed at noted venues across the United States as well as in central Europe and Southeast Asia. She has been hailed by The Diapason magazine for her “elegant performance” and by The Boston Musical Intelligencer for “outstandingly lively, punchy” playing.
The concert is free of charge.
