In conjunction with the celebration of our own 150th anniversary, join members of seven other congregations to hear a panel discussion of the earliest houses of worship founded in the city of Birmingham. The discussion will take place at First United Methodist Church (518 19th Street N) on Sunday, February 27, from 3:00-4:30 p.m.
Panelists will include Pamela Sterne King, recently-retired UAB Professor of History, Historic Preservation, and Public History; Jim Baggett, Archivist for the City of Birmingham and Head Archivist for Birmingham Public Library; and Barry McNealy, Education Coordinator at the Birmingham Civil Rights Institute and history teacher at Parker High School.
This event is free and open to the public.
