Michael Weeks Accepts Call to The Falls Church Anglican

Dear Parish Family:

I write to share the news of our clergy transitions and to invite your continued prayers.

Sunday, August 6, will be Michael Weeks’s final Sunday with us. Mike has accepted a call to The Falls Church Anglican in Falls Church, Virginia, where he will serve as the Associate Pastor for Discipleship, focusing on their membership, discipleship, and congregational care. He will also be working with their Timothy Program, designed to raise up candidates for full-time ministry.

Mike joined our staff part-time in 2017, and began to serve full-time in 2019. Much has happened for Mike in his years with us, including ordination, his marriage to Rachel, and the birth of their two children.

I am grateful for Mike and his ministry. Mike loves the Lord dearly, and is a bright, honest, and faithful minister. He will, I believe, be a blessing at The Falls Church as he has been a blessing here.

We will have a reception for Mike and Rachel on August 6, following the 11:00 a.m. service. I hope you will be able to be there, giving thanks for the Weeks.

On July 23, we will welcome Tom Murray, our new Vice Dean, and Adam Young, our new Canon Missioner. Tom will preach at all the morning services in the Nave that day. The following Sunday, July 30, will be an opportunity to hear from Tom in the Dean’s Class; likewise, Adam will be in the Dean’s Class on August 6.

Please keep Mike and Rachel in your prayers as they transition to their next chapter of life and ministry in Virginia, and please continue to keep the Youngs and Murrays in your prayers as well.

I am grateful for God’s grace, guidance, and provision.

The Lord be with you,

Michael Weeks Accepts Call to The Falls Church Anglican 3
