Our Midday Music Series continues on Friday, November 18 at 12:30 p.m., with a free, 30-minute recital in Clingman Commons by Kristine Hurst-Wajszczuk, soprano, and Yakov Kasman, piano. Their program is entitled “Refugees and Immigrants: music by and about those who left their homeland.” It will feature two song cycles by American composer Alan Louis Smith and Czech composer Antonín Dvořák. Both Hurst-Wajszczuk and Kasman are professors of music at the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
