This year’s Food Drive will once again support our ministry partner, Bridge Ministries. Bridge focuses on preventing homelessness in the Birmingham area by assisting people in crisis situations to pay their rent or utility bills or to secure temporary emergency lodging.
Food Pantry Needs: Canned meats and fish, Hearty soups stews, chili, Dried beans, peas, rice, Peanut butter, Canned vegetables and fruits, Whole grain pasta, Cereal (low sugar and oatmeal preferred), Powdered or canned milk.
We do NOT need sugar, meal, or flour. Please check expiration dates and avoid open containers. Expired food is a consistent issue with the food drive, which creates more work for those we’re aiming to help.
Bring your donations to Clingman Commons after any of the morning services on Sunday, January 13. Contact Bethany@CathedralAdvent.com for more information.
A life lived in service of our neighbor is a natural expression of faith when we are transformed by the Gospel. As we recognize our own sinfulness and the brokenness of the world around us, we are invited by our Lord to participate in his wondrous work of reconciliation. With specific interests in Christian leadership development and ministry to unreached people, the persecuted church, and the poor, the Advent partners with local and global ministries to proclaim Christ’s redemptive power over all things.
