The Cathedral Choir will sing Choral Evensong for Ascension Day on Thursday, May 26, 5:30 p.m. in the Nave.
A sung version of the Evening Prayer service, Evensong is drawn almost entirely from the Bible. Its primary purpose is to proclaim the wonderful works of God in the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ through prayer and praise.
The Feast of the Ascension is one of the seven major feast days in Anglican tradition. Come join us in celebration of the Ascension of our Lord, and worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness.
