“Fear not, little flock, for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom. Sell your possessions, and give to the needy. Provide yourselves with moneybags that do not grow old, with a treasure in the heavens that does not fail, where no thief approaches and no moth destroys. For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.”
Stewardship Sunday is October 15, 2017 – when we gather our pledge cards to begin the process of planning and budgeting for our 2018 parish ministries.
The budgets for all our programs and ministries for 2018 are based entirely on the pledge cards we received in Fall of 2017.
If you have questions about the printed pledge card or the online pledge form, feel free to contact any of our clergy, or the Church Administrator, Bryan Helm, or the Assistant Administrator, Dorothy White.
Our annual operating budget is funded entirely by pledges and offerings from our parishioners. If you would like to support the Advent’s ministries by making a special financial contribution, we would be delighted to receive it. We can assure you that your donation will be put to good use. When making a donation, via electronic banking or by mailing a check, please use the following address:
Cathedral Church of the Advent
Attn: Financial Office
2017 6th Avenue North
Birmingham AL 35203
Gifts to the church are tax deductible, and we will be happy to provide you with a tax receipt.
Tips on Stock Gifts to the Church
Many Advent parishioners make donations in the form of common stock and mutual funds. If you do, please contact the Advent’s Administrator, Bryan Helm, at (205)226-3501 or Bryan@CathedralAdvent.com. This will ensure that your transfer is successfully completed and you receive proper credit for the gift. In many cases, your stock broker will not provide the necessary information to us.
