Handel’s Messiah | April 19

Save the date and plan to join us for the Cathedral Concert Series’s presentation of George Frideric Handel’s celebrated “Messiah” on Friday, April 19 at 6:30 p.m. in the Nave. The oratorio describes the person of Christ through a libretto written by Charles Jennens, who compiled texts from both the King James Version of the Bible and the Prayer Book Psalter. North Carolina Baroque Orchestra joins the Cathedral Choir to perform this monumental work, playing on authentic instruments or copies from the Baroque period. Our soloists for this performance include Grammy award winners and Grammy nominees.
