Sign Up To Attend
Registration will open every Monday morning at 9:00 a.m. for the upcoming Sunday. We will have two morning services at 8:30 (band led) and 9:45 (choir & organ led). Both will be our familiar Morning Prayer service, similar to what we have been streaming, lasting 45 minutes. Each service will have a separate 3K through third grade Sunday school.
Parents of 3K through third graders should register the rest of their families here first. Please do not include your 3K through third grade children on this registration unless they will be attending the worship service. After you have received confirmation of your registration for one of our services, you can then register your 3K through third graders separately, on the link you will receive from Tara Davis every Monday at 9:00 a.m.

We’re getting ready to update our printed Church Directory, and we’d love to keep you connected to our community. If you have changed your phone number(s) or address and haven’t let us know, please contact Margaret Pope with the updated information (Margaret@CathedralAdvent.com, 205-226-3510). Please indicate which phone number you would like to have listed as your primary number, or if you do not want a phone number listed in the directory at all.
An online directory is available to parishioners through this website, AdventBirmingham.org. Click on “Directory” at the bottom of the home page and follow the prompts to register. While we need your primary phone for our print directory, we can list separate home, cell, and work numbers for everyone online.
J.I. Packer – probably best known for his Knowing God – died yesterday at age 93. A saint of the Lord and a leader in the church for many decades, he will be missed.
Here are two talks he gave at the Advent in September 2006.
Here also is a link to a Christianity Today article, remembering his life and work:
As disappointing as it is to say, we WILL NOT be gathering tomorrow (July 12) for in-person worship at 8:30am and 7:00pm.
We have been looking forward to getting together for so long, but with the increasing spread of the coronavirus in Jefferson County and under the advice from medical professionals, it simply is not the right time to resume our gatherings. We will remain in touch with everyone about our plans, and Lord willing, we will be able to do this soon.
